Shiraz Roberts: Registered Physiotherapist

Shiraz Roberts earned her Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto in 1992.  Her career at Achieva Health Physiotherapy has spanned over 28 years.  Shiraz has continued with her post-graduate education with courses in orthopedics and sports medicine, and with an emphasis on manual therapy and exercise prescription.

Shiraz has a continued affiliation with the University of Toronto, as a clinical instructor since 1994. In addition, she has advanced training in the McKenzie method of diagnosing and treating spinal conditions, as well as training with the Mulligan Mobilization techniques and experience in Myofascial release.

She has continued her post-graduate education through the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute, and conducts education seminars at the Running Room, as she has a keen interest in treating running related injuries.

Beth Tsai: Registered Physiotherapist

Beth Tsai is a Physiotherapist registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.  She graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy.  Prior to studying at McMaster, Beth attended Brock University where she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Physical Education degree. Her post graduate courses include those focused on manual therapy including: Mulligan techniques, Advanced McKenzie Courses, Active Release, Therapeutic taping and various courses offered by the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute.

Beth has been working as a Physiotherapist for twenty years where her clinical experience has been both in a private practice setting as well as in the long term care homes,  She has been affiliated with the University of Toronto  as a  Clinical Supervisor since joining the Achieva Health team in 2006.   Beth has been a mentor to many new Physiotherapy graduates over the years.

Beth enjoys working with differing client populations ranging from the elite athlete to those who simply  want to remain functional and live at home.  She focuses on evidence based practice and strives to always offer the utmost quality of care.

Beth is a sports enthusiast.  Her love for sports and exercise are her passion and were the driving force in her choosing Physiotherapy as her career.  In her spare time she can be found hiking or biking on the trails.  Her number one priority is her family where she is her son’s biggest cheerleader and hockey mom.  

Maziar Mousavi: Registered Massage Therapist

Maziar graduated from the Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy.

He prides himself on his continued development of broad and in-depth knowledge of a variety of treatment techniques, ranging from Swedish, Sports, Scar Tissue, and Head and Face Massage to Lymph Drainage, Medical Acupuncture, Myofascial Release, Remedial Exercises, and Reflexology.

Maziar’s knowledge of head and face massage combined with medical acupuncture has helped clients looking for natural facial rejuvenation.

Maziar has extensive experience in the health care industry as a health care provider. He uses his medical knowledge and practical application of massage techniques to tailor programs to fit a client’s individual needs, with relief from pain and discomfort as the primary goals.

He is also passionate about enhancing his knowledge in the medical field and is currently studying towards a Masters of Science (M.Sc.) in Osteopathy and a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice.
